Why join us?
A warm welcome to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School. We are a very happy and harmonious community where parents, teachers, teaching assistants and governors work together to achieve the best for our children. We pride ourselves on being a small, nurturing school that focuses on the development of the whole child and we are committed to doing our utmost to ensure the highest quality of education for all our pupils.
Blessed Sacrament school was founded in 1965 by the parish community of Blessed Sacrament church. We maintain strong links with our local parish church and Westminster Diocese.
We positively welcome applications from children and parents of other faiths or none, who want to share our ethos. As a Catholic community, the values of the Gospel and the teachings of Jesus Christ are at the heart of all we do. Religious Education takes a high priority in our curriculum and we use the Margaret Carswell RE programme of study to teach religion. We also help our children to learn about other faiths and encourage them to grow in their religious literacy and understanding.
Our new partnership with the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust is enabling us to do more. Our new library has lots of interesting books to help stimulate a love of reading, and our specialist teachers in Music, Spanish, PE and Football from Arsenal coaches, are enabling our pupils to have rich and varied curriculum experiences.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced, giving opportunities for first-hand learning experiences. We strive to take advantage of our cultural capital opportunities with the 11 by 11 cultural experiences.
Each year, Year 6 pupils have a residential trip to beautiful countryside locations in Dorset and Sayers Croft with experiences of woodlands, meadows, ponds and fields. These have been providing quality outdoor experiences for young people for many years. These are just a few of the trips, workshops and sporting and cultural opportunities offered to our pupils.
