E-safety

Online Safety Policy

At Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School we take E-safety very seriously.
The internet is an amazing tool that we encourage your child to use. It is important that we educate our children to become digitally literate. When we talk about e-safety, we are not just talking about the internet.

We are talking about the use of computers, games consoles, mobile phones, televisions, tablets and many other things.

Together we can guide our children to utilise the internet in a confident and enjoyable way. Let's ensure that they know how to leave a positive digital footprint.

The following useful information and links will give you an understanding on how to help your child to stay safe whilst browsing online resources.

Parent Zone

Parent Info is a collaboration between The Parent Zone, which has been providing information and support to parents for a decade, and CEOP, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection command of the National Crime Agency.

Parent Info provides high quality information to parents and carers about their children's wellbeing and resilience. Some of the content covers internet safety, but it all starts from the assumption that young people make little distinction between their online and offline lives and the issues for parents are often the same.

The aim is to help parents help their children be discriminating, web-literate and resilient.

When should I report to CEOP?

CEOP help children stay safe online. Has someone acted inappropriately towards you online, or to a child you know?
